Greencroft Books is a long
established small publisher based in West Wales. It has been
publishing books of Welsh interest since 1973 -- on topics relating
to folk-lore and traditions, humour, history, environment and
landscape. In recent years it has also published the seven Angel
Mountain novels written by Brian John -- and has, against all
the odds, turned them into best-sellers. The company is run
by Inger and Brian John, with part-time help from Irene Payne
(sales), Martin John (design) and Stephen Svanholm (publicity
/ social media). Most of the books are edited by Inger John,
and a six-strong readers' panel is also employed in refereeing
and revising manuscripts.
